His extensive knowledge has led to the identification of prime hunting areas, notably a 2,600-acre private ranch in Levy County, Florida, recognized by the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) for its pure Osceola genetics. Hunters often encounter 25 to 75 turkeys daily, with many Toms in groups of four to six. With a near 100% success rate over the past 14 years, his two-day hunts typically result in filled tags on the first day. The season opens in mid-March and runs through late April, making it an ideal start for those pursuing the Grand Slam. While hunters are responsible for their own meals and lodging in nearby Cedar Key or Chiefland, Florida, all transportation on the ranch is provided.
